Old Orchard Beach Retail Complex, Old Orchard Beach, ME Architect: Whipple-Callender Architects A new 10,000 sq. ft. retail and restaurant building is positioned in the center of a popular beach community in Southern Maine.  The building design and analysis incorporated provisions for a future additional story.  Insufficient soils required that the structure be supported by a deep foundation system consisting of steel H-piles with concrete pile caps and a two-way structural concrete slab.                         Additional Projects
