Maine Discovery Museum- Tradewinds Ship Exhibit, Bangor, ME Designer:  Prospect Design An interactive ship exhibit educates young visitors about Maine’s major trade partners in other parts of the world, along with their customs and traditions.  The ship is modeled after the Aloutte Arrow which journeys from the mouth of the Amazon in Brazil to Searsport, Maine, hauling clay slurry for glossy magazines and paper products.  Tradewinds allows visitors to load and unload cargo, use technology to steer the ship into a Port, and plot a ship’s course.Tradewinds is constructed from curving two-dimensional unique aluminum members to create a three-dimensional bow and other sections of the ship.  The ship deck is comprised of wood.     Additional Projects
