Little John Island Residence, Yarmouth, ME Architect:  Scott Simons Architects This local architect’s home was constructed with two detached buildings.  In addition to the Main Residence, there is also a separate garage & guest house along another building for a studio & office.  All three buildings incorporate a curved roof.  The roof shape of the main house was achieved by using two steel girder beams rolled to the geometry of the roof.   All three structures were constructed with traditional wood framing for gravity and lateral support.         Additional Projects
